Blessing in Disguise

My love for fashion all started on when I was just 5 years old. Until then, I couldn't help but still think of how much I wanted to be a great fashion designer. I wanted to have my own tailor shop, my own models & most importantly my own collections.
After taking up Bachelor of Fine Arts major in Advertising Arts I immediately tried to apply for the position of fashion designer in 2 of the biggest clothing company here in the Philippines. But I wasn't able to get hired.  I also get frustrated applying for some of the related fields of my course. But It feels like I don't really fit on those kinds of job. All I really wanted is to be a fashion designer.

Until one day, everything seems to be getting as usual as it is.
Senseless and boring. It feels like my life is worthless. I'm just aiming for something which I dont even sure if It's really what God wants me to be. During my college days, I've always been praying that I can graduate fruitfully, wishing that someday I can use my knowledge  in helping my brethren & the whole congregation in whatever way I can help. But after graduation, I have realized that I've been busy for so many things that wasn't supposed to be.

cute & simple cuts

I'm not a Korean nor a Korean fanatic but I seriously do adore some of their blouses.
Every detail is cute &  I just love how they put curves in every piece of it. Here are some of those which I think is lovely & modest enough to wear.

Joey Velasco's "Table of Hope"

Joey Velasco's painting, together with his documentary entitled "On the Canvas of Society"  featuring his reflections (and reactions) from the street kids he met a few years ago. After painting his version of the Last Supper he named, "Hapag ng Pagasa" which means Table of Hope, he went around looking for each one of them and from his visits this video came to be.

lovely & modest

One of my favorite collection of skirts from Burberry.

As I looked at these stuffs, I could't help but be amazed with it's elegance & modesty. For me, wearing skirts than jeans were absolutely pretty amazing for girls. It is feminine & modest. I just wish that many girls could also appreciate the beauty of it.

newbie

Hey there! I'm Nakia Midori, this is my first blog & hopefully not my last :)

I'm just one of those typical "somebody" who just wanted to explore something new, but this is just no ordinary exploration because it takes a lot of guts for me to publish what I have written. Honestly, I'm not a good writer, I'd rather speak personally in front of many people.I always love to share what's on my mind but afraid to put it in a letter, that's why I'm hoping so hard that this blog site would gonna be my stepping stone in developing myself & most importantly having something where I can freely share my every thoughts, experiences & interest anywhere and everywhere :)
